What am I proud of? Many things!
We have had a busy start to this 2024-2025 school year, and I have so much Dongola Pride in our staff and students.
We have many new faces in and around our building including: Kathy Compton (Pre-Kindergarten Teacher), Kelsey Weatherford (1st Grade Teacher), Shae Williams (Paraprofessional), Joshua Buss (Music Teacher), Hailey Martin (Full-Time Sub Teacher) and Don Baggett (Bus Driver). They have become valuable to our mission to serve students.
I am also very proud of the staff that have been with us. Few are furthering their education with taking courses, all are collaborating with one another to enhance our learning environment to support our students and working with our new staff to make them feel welcome and included in our Dongola school family.
The students have already made such great strides this school year. Our junior high students have exhibited kindness by giving flowers to our staff, have helped with requests by me, have notified adults when something seems different in the building and have been friendly with our new students. Our elementary students have done a phenomenal job acclimating to the new school year and have enveloped new friends to our school.
I am truly honored to serve such a group of community parents, students and staff.
